Case study
Hawaii Realty is a real estate company specializing exclusively in property sales within the enchanting landscapes of Hawaii. With a singular focus on the Hawaiian market, the company aims to create a centralized platform that compiles all available properties across the islands, providing potential buyers and investors with a comprehensive and convenient resource for exploring the diverse real estate opportunities Hawaii has to offer.
The UX/UI challenge faced by the company with the initial version of their website was centered around user experience and interface design issues. In the mobile version, users experienced difficulties while trying to navigate and interact with the site. The search function proved to be inconvenient, likely resulting in frustration for users trying to find specific properties or filter their search results effectively.
Moreover, the communication process with agents on the platform was not streamlined, leading to a lack of clarity and making it challenging for users to understand how to initiate and maintain communication with real estate agents. This likely hampered the ability to gather information, seek assistance, or negotiate potential property deals effectively.
In my capacity as the UX and UI researcher, I undertook a crucial role in assessing the existing challenges faced by the site, considering the limited traffic available for comprehensive research.
Hawaii Realty boasts an accessible, distinctive brand. I crafted a complementary component repository following Material Design principles, facilitating swift product iteration and feature deployment for the development team.
